West Michigan Regional Community Organizer

Pronouns:
she, her

Lexi serves as the West Michigan Regional Community Organizer. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in political science and human rights. While there, she spent most of her time volunteering for a number of campaigns and nonprofits as a way of getting more engaged with community during a difficult phase of life.

Before her time with PPAM, she has worked on issue-based campaigns supporting reproductive rights, educational justice, LGBTQ rights, paid family leave, lower-cost child & elder care, and more. Over the course of that time, she developed a passion for helping support low-income families through the many obstacles designed to slow them down.

In her free time, Lexi is still an advocate and is strongly rooted to her communities - whether that is her neighborhood, artist collectives, or just at her favorite coffee shops. Some of her favorite advocacy is through creating art and being able to connect with the people who see it. She does this through making apparel and accessories that uplift a message of social justice, love, and kindness. Her three cats (and her best friend's two) can sometimes make that difficult - but she always loves their company.
