6 Ways You Can Help Planned Parenthood

Updated: Nov 13, 2019

GIVE

We will continue to provide services and advocate for all of Michigan’s women and families. No matter what. But we can’t do that without your support.

To support our health services across the state, go to MichiganChoice.org to make a donation and help patients access care.

To support our advocacy efforts in Lansing and in communities across the state, become a member of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan by donating $10 or more. As a member, you’ll stand shoulder to shoulder with us to fight back against attacks on reproductive rights and access to health care.

VOLUNTEER

Can’t support Planned Parenthood financially? That’s okay! Consider donating your time and apply to be a volunteer. Our volunteers are crucial to our advocacy and community outreach efforts across the state.

JOIN US

We host and co-sponsor hundreds of events throughout Michigan each year. Whether you want to join a Readers Resist Bookclub, attend a rally, watch a screening of the latest reproductive justice documentary, or take on a leadership role in one of our legislative action teams, we have an event for you! MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

Your elected officials and community members need to hear from you! Tell them why Planned Parenthood, reproductive rights, and access to health are so important.

  • CALL your local, state, and national representatives. Tell them you support Planned Parenthood and ask them to fight against efforts to eliminate access to health care.

  • WRITE a letter to your local paper stating why you support the work of Planned Parenthood (Need Help? We’ve got ideas! Shoot us an email at ppam@ppmi.org to learn more!)

  • WRITE a letter to your local, state, and national elected representatives stating why you support the work of Planned Parenthood.

  • SHOW UP at your representatives’ local town hall meetings to talk with them in person about your support for the work Planned Parenthood does. When you call their office, ask to be added to their constituent email list. When they announce their next local event, PLAN TO ATTEND!

SHARE YOUR STORY

Storytelling is a powerful tactic to demonstrate the necessity of access to reproductive, sexual, and preventive health care. Help us show elected officials how their decisions impact real people.

Was Planned Parenthood there for you when you needed medical care? Did reproductive issues spur you to political action? Will you be personally impacted by proposed legislation? Share your story today!
