2022 Michigan Secretary of State Race

The Secretary of State is responsible for overseeing all elections in the state. It’s critical that Michigan’s top election official is committed to protecting our democracy and ensuring all Michigan voters can make their voices heard. Kristina Karamo, Challenger

Kristina Karamo is a dangerous conspiracy theorist who denies the results of the 2020 presidential election. She cannot be trusted with the Secretary of State's responsibilities to accept and uphold the results of free and fair elections. Karamo would use the power of the Secretary of State’s office to threaten our democracy.

And her dangerous agenda doesn’t end there. Karamo is one of the most extreme anti-abortion politicians in the nation, claiming that abortion is a “satanic child sacrifice ritual” and saying that the main reason she got into politics is to oppose abortion rights.

Jocelyn has a record of protecting election integrity and fighting back against election deniers and conspiracy theorists who attempted to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Benson is a champion for abortion access and understands the importance of Michigan voters' voices being heard and validated at the ballot box. With so much at stake in this election and in 2024, Benson is the only candidate who will make sure that your voice is heard.
