YOUNG ACTIVISTS
Visit teenwire.com, an award-winning sexual health Web site for teens. We are committed to giving you the facts about sex so that you can use this information to make your own responsible choices. We provide honest and nonjudgmental information about sexuality in language you can understand with the hope that you will use this knowledge to reduce your risk of unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.

teenwire.com is the Planned Parenthood Federation of America Web site for teens and is staffed by professionals who are dedicated to providing the information you need.


PLANNED PARENTHOOD YOUNG LEADERS (PPYL)
Planned Parenthood Young Leaders was created to engage pro-choice supporters who until now have not had the time to volunteer. PPYL is for folks who are old enough to vote, but not old enough to retire. PPYL provides great networking opportunities and fun, local events.

Vox: VOICES FOR PLANNED PARENTHOOD
Vox
is a nationwide program that educates young people on campus about the threats to reproductive health. Vox groups across the country organize events to raise awareness about reproductive rights, educate young people at concerts about sexual health, work with and support their local Planned Parenthood health centers and mobilize advocates of reproductive freedom. Vox increases awareness of current threats to reproductive rights and cultivates long-term involvement with Planned Parenthood and the entire pro-choice movement.

Michigan currently has the following campus groups:

University of MichiganMichigan Students for Choice works with students on campus as well as  Planned Parenthood, MARAL, and Choice USA. We have about 30 active members and roughly 300 people on our email listserv. We have weekly meetings on Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m. in the SORC room on the  4th floor of the Michigan Union. Eastern Michigan University—We are looking for someone who is interested in building their skills by leading a Vox chapter at Eastern! If you are interested, please contact Dessa at dessa.cosma@ppmchoice.org.

Michigan State University—MSU Students for Choice is an action-oriented student group with the aim of raising awareness about reproductive justice issues on our campus. Join us!  MSUStudentsForChoice@gmail.com.

Northern Michigan UniversityNMU VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood is a non-partisan, pro-choice student organization. We will be meeting every Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. We hold many fun events on campus every semester! We are currently working on performing the Vagina Monologues this March. Grand Valley State UniversityVoices for Healthy Choices focuses on prevention and awareness about pro-choice issues. We meet on Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m. at the Women's Center in Kirkhof for discussion and event planning. Our events gear toward sex-ed, birth control information, and pro-choice speakers. Northwestern Michigan College
We are a highly motivated group of individuals located in Traverse City. We are passionate about what we do, and we are are currently working towards getting emergency contraception (EC) available through our school health clinic, among other endeavors. We meet every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Scholars Hall room 104. If you are in the area, and are interested in helping to raise awareness about sexual health and reproductive freedom, join us! Wayne State University
Wayne State University Students for Choice advocates and educates around issues of reproductive justice on WSU's campus. This group is for men and women who want to raise awareness of the importance of reproductive rights and preserve those rights through activism. Women deserve fair access to unbiased information on how to prevent pregnancy, as well as what options she has available if an unplanned pregnancy occurs. As pro-choice advocates, our role is to ensure abortion remains safe and legal. Our role is to ensure that teenagers and young women have the resources to prevent pregnancy and STIs without judgment. We meet every other Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in Room 299, Student Services Building.
