My Health, My Life.
No Matter What.

At Planned Parenthood, we are working to create a world where access to health care doesn’t depend on who you are or where you live — where everyone has the opportunity to choose their own path to a healthy and meaningful life. In recent years, however, politicians have waged an unprecedented assault on access to safe and legal abortion, affordable birth control, and other basic preventive services.

Every day Planned Parenthood works to fight back against these attacks in state legislatures, in court, and in local communities, expanding access to health care and education wherever we can. We know that these basic rights are the foundation of freedom and opportunity for women and their families.

In solidarity with our patients, supporters, and the millions of women, men, and families whose lives and futures depend on access to comprehensive reproductive health care, we demand that the basic principles outlined below guide legislators and those in power as they consider policies that impact women’s health.

Take the My Health, My Life Pledge

I deserve to decide when and if to have a child. I deserve whatever medical information I want and whatever health care I need, and that includes abortion. And I have the right to all of this without politicians interfering and regardless of anyone’s religious beliefs. That’s why I support Planned Parenthood, and Planned Parenthood supports me.

Taking this Pledge adds your name to the growing list of people who want their legislators to know that they support legislation that will increase access to health care for everyone and will fight any attempts to restrict it.
