Dolores- Film Screening and Panel Discussion

May 10 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCEDSV), LA VIDA, and Western International High School have partnered to host a movie screening of “Dolores” followed by a panel discussion. With all of the wonderful activism happening throughout the country, we are proud that Southwest Detroit continues to show unity and consistently organize around many social justice issues.

The theme for this event, Community Organizing: Then and Now / Antes y Ahora, addresses the history of community organizing, as well as the similarities and differences in organizing around different topics over time and space.

This event is free and open to the public and available in the Southwest Detroit community at Western International High School on May 10th, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
We are excited to have panelists from the community discussing their experiences with community organizing efforts.
