Are you interested in taking your activism to the next level? Please join fellow Detroit-Metro PP volunteers on Tuesday, March 13th from 6pm – 7pm at Biggby Coffee in Ferndale to learn more about joining our Volunteer Leadership Council. We will be brainstorming together on the different ways that Planned Parenthood can play a more active role in our communities, which includes but is not limited to event planning, community outreach, and membership drives.
What is a Leadership Council?
A Leadership Council is a cohort of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan (PPAM) Volunteer Leaders who strategize and collaborate with their PPAM Community Organizer to develop and expand the PPAM Volunteer Program by recruiting supporters to become trained activists and volunteers through certified PPFA/PPMI/PPAM training modules and curriculums.
What is a Leadership Council Volunteer?
Leadership Council Volunteers will work alongside their PPAM Organizer to facilitate direct actions, fundraisers, educational sessions, town halls, and other public events that respond to and serve the needs of their local communities, especially as it relates to women’s healthcare and reproductive justice.
